Imasu-juku

Imasu-juku is located on the western edge of the 16th old post station along Nakasendo Mino. In this post station, which is still quiet now, are “toiyaba (Eirakutsuho-no-kawara)” and “joyato (all-night lights)”, which tell the story of ancient times.
◆From Imasu-juku to Shiga prefecture Border
This portion of the course is located on the western edge of Nakasendo Minoji. There are remains left, such as “Kurumagaeshi-no-saka (slope comes to end)” and “Nemonogatari monument.” You can see a small side ditch ahead of “Nemonogatari monument.” This side ditch is the province border between “Mino Province” and “Ohmi Province” and the terminal point of Nakasendo Minoji, where there are many legends and remains left.
